Google, undoubtedly has always been the hero and that’s the reason within a week after the test release of its new social networking website, Google+, Google lovers around are eager to migrate completely into it from their respective Facebook accounts.
Here’s we bring to you a simple solution that might help you to migrate from Facebook to Google + until Google releases Google+ publicly.
The major things that shall lead you migrate are probably your photos, posts, notes and your friends. While moving on with the photos is easy, convincing all your friends to sign up for the service is entirely in your hands. Here, we will use the tool provided by Facebook itself to accomplish our motto and not any third party software,
the magic happens at www.facebook.com/download where you can actually download all your personal data stored on the facebook servers. It lets you get a copy of almost everything
Log into Facebook with your account, http://www.facebook.com.
Go to the top right hand side of your Facebook page. Click on “Account”, then “Account Settings”
Click on “Download Your Information” and then click on “learn more”.
You will now be at www.facebook.com/download Click on the download button.
Click on the Download Button once again.
It usually takes a few hours before facebook sends you a confirmation email and your data is ready for download.
Once you get an email from Facebook announcing the readiness of your download, follow the link, and validate yourself. You will be asked to:
a. Enter your password
b. recognize your facebook friends from tagged images of them. If you’re the sort who adds people without really knowing them, then you might have trouble here. You’re allowed two skips at this stage.
After successful validation, your download shall began instantly and make sure you download this at once, since if you miss it, the whole process has to be repeated again.
You now have all your facebook photos with you. Now upload them either directly to your Google+ account or you may also choose to download the Picasa desktop client and upload them to a web album.
To help your friends migrate…
Sign in to your Yahoo! accounts
Go to the the contact options, and select import contacts
Select “Facebook” and link your facebook account with your Yahoo! account.
Now login to your Google+ account and within circles, choose to include your Yahoo! contacts. This will now include all your facebook friends as well.
Now add you friends in your circles, and let Google do the rest, inviting them over.
It has been my problem for last few years, that whenever I use to login to my Gtalk chat account, I use to see many of names written in stylized fonts, which sometimes makes the name meaning less. So, I recently discovered a way out to this problem, and wanted to share it with you.
If you are also having similar problem, then just login to your Gtalk chat client or GMail chat client…
Gtalk chat client
Just login to your Gtalk chat client, and then right click on the contact you want to rename, and then click “Rename”. There you enter correct name, and now it will appear like what you’ve entered, whenever you’ll log in again.

As a webmaster, I use to put a short signature at end of my every email. If this signature contain a random link from my blog, this would increase my visitor’s traffic more. GMail Labs provides an experimental addon to Gmail, know as Random Signatures. This addon fetches random post links from a given feed url, and appends as your signature at end of post. This drives traffic, if someone reading email, finds that topic interesting.
You can add random post signature to emails sent by enabling labs features and enabling, Random Signature in it. Then, follow these steps-
Go to settings of GMail
Click General tab
Select Signature, and click on “Append a random signature…”
You can specify the feed address, in text box, which can be your blog address, or any feed you like.
Like I’ve done as shown here-

This post will give you the best applications for students that are available on internet which will help them not only to boost their academic career but also their social network. For making the stuff look easy, I have divided the whole into 3 main categories.
These are a part of Google’s SaaS (Software as a Service) version of MS Office. Documents, Spreadsheets, forms and presentations can be created within the application itself, imported through the web interface, or sent via email. They can also be saved to the user’s computer in a variety of formats (OpenOffice, HTML, PDF, RTF, Text, Word). By default, they are saved to the Google servers. But they have some limitations too:
- The files can only be downloaded or uploaded once at a time
- A user can have a total of 5,000 documents and presentations, 5,000 images, 1,000 spreadsheets, and 100 PDFs
- Only presentations under 10MB can be imported
This applications is very useful for research purposes. This is similar to writing on a pad. This personal browser tool permits a user to write notes, and to clip text, images, and links from pages during browsing. These are saved to an online "notebook" with sharing and collaboration features. To increase its feasibility, ZOHO has facilitated the option to login using Google or Yahoo. As an added advantage add-on’s are available for firefox which can be downloaded here.

SOCIAL CONNECTIVITY SITES
Today FaceBook is one of the fastest growing social networking site . Why?? because it is simple and fast as compared to others.Facebook is a free-access social networking website that is operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc. Users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with other people. People can also add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. The website’s name refers to the paper facebooks depicting members of a campus community that some US colleges and preparatory schools give to incoming students, faculty, and staff as a way to get to know other people on campus.
In Hi5, users create an online profile in order to show information such as interests, age and hometown and upload user pictures where users can post comments. Hi5 also allows the user to create personal photo albums and set up a music player in the profile. Users can also send friend requests via e-mail to other users. When a person receives a friend request, he or she may accept or decline it, or block the user altogether. If the user accepts another user as a friend, the two will be connected directly or in the 1st degree. The user will then appear on the person’s friend list and vice-versa.
Throughout the course of 2007 and 2008, MySpace redesigned many of the features of its site in both layout and in function. One of the first functions to be redesigned was the user home page, with features such as status updates, applications, and subscriptions being added in order to compete with Facebook. In 2008, the MySpace homepage was redesigned. MySpace Music was recreated in fall of 2008 along with an updated version of the MySpace profile.
With the recent feature of Similar Image Search by google labs, the image search has become more stronger. Now you can easily find the related images with this recent feature and that too very easily. This was a much awaited need that is now fulfilled by Google. Image Search is a tool you can use to find just about any kind of image, but it can sometimes be difficult to find the right image if you can’t describe it in words.
The new Similar Images feature was developed with just this in mind. Using it you can now find images that look like an existing result simply by clicking on a link. Using visual similarity, you don’t have to refine the text of your search, instead, you can just click on the link of an image you like. For example if you search Temple then you will get a bunch of images showing Similar Images link below them . To go to the Similar Image Search, click here.

- Click Enable to Enable the feature.
Now just move on to Compose Mail in GMail there you will find the Insert Image option just after Emoticons Option.
